Full Description
Brook Farm Cottage, Bunbury Road. House, late C16/early C17. Timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and plain tile roof. Two storeys. North-west front - central gabled wing with close studding and middle rail to the ground floor. Jettied first floor supported on corner brackets. Similar close studding to the first floor with a central window of five lights with ovolo-moulded surround, mullions and a transom close studding to jettied gable supported by moulded corner brackets. Late C17 timber framed leanto right. Lefthand side: gabled wing to centre with 3 x 2 cells of small framing and angle braces and uprights to the gable. To left of this are 3 x 4 cells of small framing with angle braces. Close studding to right and ground floor doorway at far right. Interior: Chamfered and jewelled stopped ceiling beams to parlour.
