Summary

Grade II listed Cottage near Gamekeeper's Cottage, Horsley Lane. It was built in the 17th century and is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and a slate roof. It has two storeys. Both gable ends have small framing with angle and tension braces and uprights and V- struts to the gable.

Full Description

Cottage, c.15 yards south-west of Gamekeeper's Cottage, Horsley Lane. House, C17. Timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and a slate roof. Two storeys. Entrance front: 12 x 2 cells of small framing with angle braces to left and right and with both angle and tension braces to the central post. The roof was raised in C19 or later. Righthand gable end has 6 x 2 cells of small framing with angle and tension braces and uprights and V- struts to the gable. The lefthand gable end has 6 x 2 cells of uneven small framing with angle brces and uprights and V-strut to the gable. Rear: 12 x 3 cells of small framing. Two doors at left of centre with two ground floor casement windows and one gabled dormer at left and one casement to right. Full architectural description (1).
