Full Description
The Old Farmhouse, the Village. Formerly a farmhouse and cottage, now a house. Dated 1653 with a C18 extension and C20 modernisation. Brick nogged timber framing on sandstone plinth, extension in washed brick. Welsh slate roof. One ridge and one gable brick chimney. One and two-storey, five-bay front. Left three bays of one storey in good timber small framing of 2 x 9 panels with angle bracing. Central blocked doorway with 1653 on the lintel. Right two bays of two storeys is former cottage. Left gable shows tiebeam and collar truss. Full architectural description (1).
