A silver shilling of Elizabeth I, said to have been found in a field at Malpas. Initial mark, escallop 1584/5-1587 (See North - English Hammered Coinage no.2014 p.109), brought in for identification by Mr A Willcocks, Malpas. Also a decorated medieval lead spindle whorl, also from the Malpas area (1).
