One of two sandstone outcrops found to have cupmarks, a serpentine groove overlain by peckmarks and modern graffiti. The Carvings are of possible prehistoric date.

"….In January 2023 the author recorded cupmarks at two locations on sandstone outcropping at Keckwick Hill, Daresbury, Cheshire. The Keckwick Hill panels are unique for being in situ examples in a region that has very few recorded panels at all…."


"…Panel two is located approximately 90 metres to the northeast ( of panel one)and forms part of the very prominent escarpment edge overlooking the Mersey Estuary (Figure 10). There is a single circular cup-mark with hemispherical profile that is almost identical in size and character to the one on Panel one and has also been formed by pecking. Natural erosion is adjacent and more inscribed graffiti is in evidence nearby.
