Full Description
<1> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ4163 (1874) & SJ4263 (1874-1875) (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.
This map depicts the farmhouse to the south of the moat. A group of buildings and/or pens lie directly adjacent to the farmhouse on the north-eastern side. To the immediate west is a garden with a perimeter path and fruit trees on three sides. To the east, across the probable farmyard, are two farm buildings. The farmstead is labelled Huntingdon Hall.
<2> Ordnance Survey, 1896-1898, Ordnance Survey First Revision County Series (Epoch 2) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ4163 (1899) & SJ4263 (1899) (Maps and Plans). SCH3848.
As previously depicted. The pens and building to the north-east of the farmhouse have been replaced by a long narrow building with pens on the southern side. No features are depicted within the garden area.
<3> Ordnance Survey, 1909-1912, Ordnance Survey Second Revision County Series (Epoch 3) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ4163 (1911) & SJ4263 (1911) (Maps and Plans). SCH4361.
As previously depicted. An open sided barn has been constructed to the east of the more northerly of the two farm buildings.
<4> Ordnance Survey, 1870-1982, Ordnance Survey Archaeological Record Card, SJ 46 SW 2 (Index). SCH2487.
None of the existing farm building shows any trace of antiquity and the farmhouse is apparently of late eighteenth / early nineteenth century date. [E. Geary. F.I. 12/11/1954].
<5> Ormerod, G., 1882, The History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol.II p.770 (Book). SCH1389.

Formerly farm building, now storage: late eighteenth with early nineteenth century addition. Flemish bond orange brick on stone plinth. Partly Welsh slate roof, partly concrete tile. L-shaped plan. Long west front has nine rebated, semi-circular headed doorways to feeding passages between pairs of shippons. Above are two circular pitch holes with stone sills and three larger inserted rectangular openings. Smaller south range is an addition but is similar though somewhat altered. Interior: Layout survives intact with pointed fading openings to each pair of stalls. Large brick arches in the barn area above.
