There may be two entrances. It is not clear whether roof collapse has obliterated them as there is a substantial talus in front of both concealing any collapsed rock, or whether the two caves are connected. At present they look more like shelters than caves but narrow horizontal cavities at the base seem to extend deeper under the rock. In the Malpas registers there is an entry dated 29th September 1800 for the marriage of Thomas Florence and Sarah Hall, ‘both from the Caves at Overton’.
