Down the stairs, south of Rawhead in the cliff-face above a footpath, this small cave is difficult to access but footholds are cut below and it contains some interesting graffiti. It is almost spherical and has a natural(?) chimney It is likely to be the cave named "Gypsies’ Cave" on a Bolesworth Estate map of 1788. Musket's Hole is not the name of the cave as some have supposed, but the name of the ravine at the end of which it is situated. Its name implies an association with gypsies and might be compared historically with "Gypsy’s Hole at Overton"
