Extensive cropmarks in an area of twelve hectares visible on aerial imagery from May 2020. A large proportion of these cropmarks are of geological origin, but within this area are linear cropmarks likely to be of anthropogenic origin (ditches). Their fragmentary nature makes them difficult to interpret. They may be the remains of field boundaries associated with a pre-enclosure field system. However, some may be the remains of an enclosure or enclosures. It is probable that this is a palimpsest of features of different functions and dates.
<2> Google, 2005, Google Earth (Web Site). SCH7272.
Also visible on Google Earth imagery dated 25/06/2018.
