Medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow ploughing on the eastern edge of the parish of Bollington is visible as earthworks on vertical aerial photographs (see 3 & 4).

A medieval / post medieval field boundary is visible as an extant earthwork bank centred at SJ 9425 7822 on lidar (see 7) and the latest 2010 vertical aerial photography (see 5). The field boundary appears to divide areas of ridge and furrow and narrow ridge and furrow ploughing (UID 1599180).
