The structural remains of a nineteenth century building (Building 2), fronting onto Wheelock Street, were recorded during an archaeological evaluation in 2020-1 . The remains comprised a rectangular cellar measuring approximately eight meters by three meters within the limits of Trench 1a. The cellar was subdivided into five rooms: a main one measured approximately 7m x 2m and three other ones of much smaller size. All of those extended beyond the limits of excavation towards Wheelock Street. The original building probably would have been two storey terrace houses with shops on the ground floor and lodgings above. Demolished in the latter half of the twentieth century.
