Brook Hall is located on the outskirts of the village. A grand property, it was variously occupied by affluent Liverpool brokers and merchants and it is also known locally because Grakle, the winning horse in the 1931 Grand National, is buried in the grounds.

This page has been created on the Website because of a set of remarkable images which illustrate the opulent interior of this substantial property during the last quarter of the nineteenth century.
