Summary

Ornamental gardens and walled kitchen garden to Aldersey Hall (demolished 1958) with sinuous lake or fish pond with boat house associated with woodland, and drives through parkland to hall. A housing estate now occupies the site in the middle of derelict parkland and all that remains are two pairs of gate piers, two lodges and a section of the walled garden with a gate dated 1901.

Indicating a loss of parkland to the south and a realignment of the public road to the east, the old road becoming the drive to the Hall.

The ornamental gardens include two wells, a long sinuous fish pond, a boathouse, sundial, many paths and a formally laid out walled garden. The original public road now lies within the park, serving the Hall.
