<5> Bott O J P, 1985, Cornmill sites in Cheshire 1066-1850 Part 5, p.40 (Article in Journal). SCH9270.

415 586 to 418 586. Mill Fields (172, 212 and 213) and Mill Field Crofts (170, 171 and 174), Aldford. The field names probably indicate a windmill site on the brow of the Dee Valley south of the village at Townfield Lands, but a Mill lane near the site led down to the river, so a watermill site is just possible.
