This map depicts a farm, labelled Mosside Farm and comprising three buildings, located to the south-west of the current location of Lower Moss Side Farm and south of the lane.

The tithe map and award for Norton township depicts the farmhouse with an L shaped range of farm buildings enclosing the south-western and north-western sides of a square yard. The north-eastern side of the yard is defined by a further detached farm building. It is described as: house, outbuildings, yard, garden and occupation road.

An additional building or extension has been constructed to the rear (north-eastern side) of the detached farm building and pigsties are depicted at the south-eastern end. An open sided barn has been constructed to the north-east.

As previously depicted except the additional building or extension is depicted as open sided.
