Summary
Earthworks associated with ridge and furrow and former field boundaries survive within this area of woodland. The ridge and furrow is probably medieval in date, with the field boundarires dating from the late medieval to early post medieval periods.

Earthworks associated with ridge and furrow and former field boundaries are visible on LIDAR survey data. Further earthworks associated with former marl pits are also visible. The ridge and furrow is semi-regular and averages eight metres in width. In places the ridge and furrow is overlain by later drainage ditches or sometimes truncated by the field boundaries.
