Monument record 15456 - Ridge and Furrow in the Parish of Pott Shrigley

Ridge and furrow of possible medieval and/or post medieval origin within the parish of Pott Shrigley, centred at approximately SJ 948 803, is visible as both extant earthworks and cropmarks on vertical aerial photography and lidar (see 2-4). The ridge and furrow is visible as both broader and narrow forms, suggesting potential post medieval reuse of earlier ploughing. Associated field boundaries (UIDs 1598114, 1599231 and 1599244) define specific areas of the ploughing.
