Full Description

<1> English Heritage, 2005, List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, 403431 (Digital Archive). SCH4666.

House, now divided, probably 1830's, pebble-dashed with hipped grey slate roof. Two storeys with three rooms to front plus north wing of one room. The main block is symmetrical to front. Projecting Roman Doric porch carries semi-circular bow window with sixteen-pane sash to front and eight-pane sash to each side. To each side of porch is a canted bay window to lower storey (sixteen-pane sash to front and eight-pane to each side) and a shuttered sixteen-pane sash to upper storey. Three prominent pebble-dashed ridge chimneys. The left wing has a Gothick window to each storey. Features of the right end of main block are similar to those of its front: lower storey has arched entrance with fanlight and canted bay window to right; upper storey has four sixteen-pane sashes. Interior: not inspected.
