Former private residence, it became a private school and is now a Golf Club House, early nineteenth century with alterations. Rendered and whitened red brick formerly with slate roof but large section, hidden behind parapet, now flat. Two storeys six bay entrance front to north, seven bay return to east with two storey three window segmental projection and seven bay garden front to south with single storey three window segmental projection. Giant pilasters to quoins, channel rustication up to moulded string course at first floor level, moulded eaves cornice surmounted by parapet wall. Entrance to building via a roofless loggia of four piers with ovolo moulded corners. Recessed sash windows without glazing bars. Interior: In the entrance hall two Ionic columns supports the landing and a geometrical staircase with shaped balusters which divides from the central flight and follows both side walls upwards. Three ground floor rooms have high quality ceilings with cornices and the south room has Corinthian pilasters. The Billiard Rooms, at First Floor level, has an elaborate lantern with modillion cornice and some dado panelling. There are four panel doors with wide architraves and some good mantels.

A classical mansion, early nineteenth century with alterations. The northern side has the entrance loggia and the eastern side has seven bays, three of which project with a later segmental ground floor bay. A plain western extension contains the billiard room, which replaced the conservatories known to be here in 1886. Inside is a grand central hall with superimposed Ionic screens through which the staircase divides and returns.

Reputedly built for a Manchester cotton manufacturer. From 1894 to 1924 the hall was home to Kenyon Hall College, a private boarding school.

This map depicts the hall, with a large glass building on the southern side, probably the conservatory. To the immediate west is a regular group of three buildings arranged around a yard, possibly the stables and coach house. A further glass building is located against the southern side of these buildings.
