Monument record 15306 - Coal Mining Earthworks at Chest Hollow

A post medieval coal mining site is visible as a large group of shafts and associated spoil mounds surviving as earthworks centred at approximately SJ 9953 7208 on vertical aerial photography. The site remains extant on the latest 2011 vertical aerial imagery (1-3).
