Full Description

<1> See map for surveyor, c.1837-51, Cheshire Tithe Maps and Awards, EDT 110/2 1839 (Maps and Plans). SCH3266.

This map depicts two circular areas connected by tracks labelled as “rail road” to the tramway which connected the collieries to the north-east to the canal wharves near the Harding Wood Junction. Where the eastern area’s tramway joins the main tramway, there are two buildings. A further building is located within the western of the two circular areas. The plot is named as coal pit bank, coke kilns and waste and is occupied by James Sutton and Co.
