This map depicts an L shaped building, with a smaller building to the north-east at this location. It is described as "upper builders yard and stack yard".

<2> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ5760, 1874-1875 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.

The buildings are no longer extant.

The farmer reported a substantial amount of brick and rubble in this area during ploughing. This site appears to be an artificial platform and the hedge to the north is based upon a stone foundation and indicate the location of the seventeenth century hall. However, it is a little distant from the folly, so the hall may have stood elsewhere (see CHER 1837/1/0).
