Monument record 15260 - Site of Linear Watercourse and Pool, Park Street, Congleton

A linear watercourse, potentially a mill race, and separate pool, are depicted on the 1845 Tithe Map for Congleton, although no corresponding plot details are recorded. The Tithe Map also depicts buildings close to the watercourse. The linear water feature is orientated north-south and is centred at 386118, 362951, with the separate pool located at its southern extent, immediately to the east. The site of both features lies to the south of Park Street. The features are also depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map where they lie adjacent to and the east of Park Street Tannery (CHER 2887/62/0). (See also sources 2-3)
