Summary

Farmhouse and associated farm buildings dating from the early eighteenth century. The farmhouse bears an inscription giving a date of 1713 for its construction.

Full Description

Farmhouse: dated 1713 with mid nineteenth century alterations. Coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Kerridge stone-slate roof and two stone chimneys. T-shaped in plan. Two-storey, three-bay front. Left end and central bay have three-light wooden casements with plain stone lintels and sills, those above in gabled half dormers, with heavy roof timbers showing, and a projecting rubble course above the window. Similar course at first floor. Five-board door under plain lintel in the right end bay, date plaque reading JMJ 1713 above. Contemporary stone extension to rear and brick addition to the left.

This map depicts orchards to the immediate north and east of the farmhouse. Further north is a range of farm buildngs, with further smaller buildings to the west. It is labelled Jennies Farm.
