Full Description

This map dating from the early 1870s depicts a building with, associated and connected outbuildings, adjacent to the Groves. It is labelled 'Causeway Tavern'.

This building is depicted on this map, but is no longer labelled.

Between 1873 and 1877 The Causeway Tavern was licenced as a beer-house; the licencee was Mr John Moor Ainsworth and the owner "The Lord Bishop".
