Ridge Cottage is depicted, but not named on this map. It is described as a Cottage and Garden owned by the Reverend Thomas Smyth and occupied by Peter Hulme.

Stone built in narrow courses and with a stone slate roof. Two storeys with a chimney at the south-eastern end. The footprint of the building appears shorter than depicted on historic maps (see 2, 3, & 4) suggesting the north-western half of the building has been demolished. There is a lean to style extension on the north-eastern side.
