This map depicts two adjacent buildings. The western building (building 2) appears to be partially located within Barn Croft and is orientated north-south on its longest axis. The eastern building (building 1), orientated east-west, is in a plot described as ‘house, buildings, garden etc’.
<4> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ6048, 1875-1877 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.

<5> Ordnance Survey, 1896-1898, Ordnance Survey First Revision County Series (Epoch 2) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ6048, 1898 (Maps and Plans). SCH3848.
This map depicts the two buildings depicted on earlier maps (buildings 1 and 2). There appears to be a pump associated with each building and a small square outbuilding to the north. It is possible that building 1 is the house and building 2 the farm buildings.
<6> Ordnance Survey, 1909-1912, Ordnance Survey Second Revision County Series (Epoch 3) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ6048, 1910 (Maps and Plans). SCH4361.
The western building (building 2), a possible outbuilding, has been extended at its northern end to create an L-shaped range. The probable house (building 1) is labelled Yewtree House.

Buildings as described from Google Street View (see 9). For numbering see sketch plan.
Building 1: A single storey, brick built and slate tiled L shaped building, with a brick built and corrugated iron roofed stable attached to the east.
Building 2: A large two storey, at least in part, timber famed building. The timber frame is most visible on the eastern elevation where the box frames survive intact with brick infill. The southern elevation shows the timber frame, typically the vertical supports, but much of the box framing has either been replaced or hidden by later brickwork. Two doorways and four windows, one a dormer window, are visible on this elevation. The easternmost window may be original. One window at the first floor is visible on the western elevation. The roof has a high steep pitch and is roofed in corrugated iron. There are chimneys at each end and one to the rear. The building is in very poor condition.
Building 3: Corrugated roofed and sided barn or agricultural storage building.
Building 4: Demolished sometime after 2010 (see 8).
Building 5: Modern house with three dormer style windows on the second storey front elevation. Brick built with tile roof, front elevation rendered.
