This map depicts two buildings which are labelled Dirty Gate.

The earliest documentary reference to Dirty Gate is Bryant's map of 1831 (see 1).

This map depicts two buildings adjacent to the road with a small building to the immediate north. They are described as a house, outbuildings and garden. Another building is depicted in an adjacent plot c.30m to the east.

This map depicts a small ruin which may correspond with the smaller building depicted on the tithe map (see 3).
