Summary

Former field boundaries visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks. A linear cropmark with a marked aratral curve (reversed S shape) aligned north-east to south west. This cropmark corresponds with a field boundary depicted on nineteenth century historic maps. The aratral curve shows that the location of this boundary was influenced by a preceding medieval land division. A curving linear cropmark which defines a sub-rectangular enclosure adjacent to the Whitchurch Road. This cropmark also corresponds with a field boundary depicted on nineteenth century historic maps.

This photograph shows two linear cropmarks. One defines a sub-rectangular enclosure adjacent to the Whitch Road. The second is orientated north-east to south west and has a marked aratral curve.
