Aerial imagery published on Google Maps (see 2) and believed to date from the summer of 2018 depicts an extensive area of linear cropmarks. In general these cropmarks correspond with field boundaries or tree lines depicted on nineteenth century historic maps (see 3 & 4). Also within this area is a possible north-east to south-west aligned trackway and a north-west to east aligned trackway. Where these converge are three small conjoined enclosures, the possible site of a farmstead. The majority of these cropmarks are clearly truncated by a later feature, also visible as a cropmark, which corresponds with an earthwork depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition (see 3). This feature may be remains of the park pale (see CHER 235/3).
