Farmstead named on the 1839 Acton tithe award (see 3b) as Dutton Bottom Farm, owned by the Devisees of the late Nicholas Ashton Esq and occupied by John Minshull. The Tithe map shows the farm as comprising: a small group of irregular buildings on the south-east, the largest of which may have been the farmhouse: an elongated range to the north-west; and a larger L-shaped range to the north. The last two buildings were adjoined by a barn field, suggesting one of the buildings to have been a barn. The farm is also indicated, as Dutton Bottoms on the 1841 Dutton tithe map (see 3a), copied from a map of 1821, which shows the L-shaped building and a single building in the south-east of the site, while Bryant's map of 1829-31 (see 2) shows the L-shaped range and two buildings in the south-east. The farm is also shown as Dutton Bottoms on Burdetts map of the 1770s (see 10). This place is believed to be the "Actonbothum" held by Thomas de Dutton in the 1350s (see 9).

On the 1874-7 Ordnance Survey map (see 4) the farm had been demolished, with only a small rectangular building being shown on the north, possibly a survival of the north wing of the L shaped range. This is not shown on the 1908 Ordnance Survey map (see 5). Site of the farm is now occupied by the dredging disposal site. No evidence of the farm noted on the aerial photographs of the 1973, 1985 and 1993 (see 6, 7 & 8).
