Settlement remains of probable medieval / post medieval date are visible on lidar imagery as earthwork platforms, banks and ditches forming a complex of enclosures and boundaries centred at approximately SJ 4397 4903 on the southern edge of Shocklach. The majority of the earthworks appear to remain extant on the latest 2010-2013 aerial photography.

Some of the boundaries on the edge of the settlement earthworks appear to define the edges of fields of ridge and furrow (UIDs 1607985, 1607987) though ploughing appears to be absent from the majority of the enclosures within the complex, as visible on the lidar (2-3.
