Medieval / post medieval ridge and furrow ploughing centred at approximately SJ 429 547 in the parish of Kings Marsh is visible as earthworks and cropmarks on historic aerial photography and lidar imagery, though many of the earthworks appear to have been levelled by the latest 2010-2013 vertical imagery.

Some areas of the ridge and furrow, particularly in the north of the parish, appear to be purely medieval in date, part of the open field system, and including a number of broad banks which probably represent plough headlands. The majority of the remainder appears to originate in the medieval period, with post medieval straightening and splitting of the broad ridges to create extra furrows. A small number of fields appear to consist of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow (2-5)
