Blocks of parallel linear earthworks in the form of distinct ridges and troughs known as ridge and furrow formed by cultivation practices are visible on these aerial photographs. One form of this feature is evident here; narrow ridge and furrow, which typically dates from the early post medieval period. In places the blocks are sub-divided by earthworks indicative of former field boundaries.
