Three areas of narrow well-defined post-medieval-type ridge and furrow. The ridges of the ridge and furrow of all three areas are spaced approximately 2m apart and are up to 0.3m high and each area is on a slightly different orientation. A long and prominent lynchet up to 0.6m high and an amorphous bank up to 0.3m high marks the site of a removed field boundary of post-medieval orpossibly earlier date. This boundary is depicted on the 1850 tithe map (see 3).

Blocks of parallel linear earthworks in the form of distinct ridges and troughs known as ridge and furrow formed by cultivation practices are visible on these aerial photographs. One form of this feature is evident here; narrow ridge and furrow, which typically dates from the early post medieval period. In places the blocks are sub-divided in by a long sinuous nort-west to south-east trending earthwork, presumably a former field boundary.
