A short section of terraced trackway of cart-width leading from Brookside Cottage to the south. Of post-medieval date, but historic maps (see 2) suggest it may have been out of use by 1880.

<2> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ9868, 1871-1873 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.

<3> Bluesky International Ltd, 2010, 2010 Bluesky Survey, UXP_101025_8450, 25/10/2010 (Aerial Photograph). SCH5444.

Source (1) suggests the trackway turns to the south-east after crossing the brook. This aerial imagery shows the earthworks associated with this feature continuing on the original south-westerly course.
