Grade I. Country House, now partly a school, 1755, initial design by James Gibbs, altered during construction. Stone-dressed Flemish bond brown brick; hipped slate roof. Main block has 3 storeys and 7 windows, symmetrical with recessed screen wall and pavilion (that to left rebuilt) to each side. See listed building entry for full architectural description

Identified in this book as a "very convenient small house" designed by the architect James Gibbs for the Smith Barrys of Aston Park in the mid 18th century. A compact villa of the type popular in the 1750s. Now in use as a school.
