Full Description
<1> See map for surveyor, c.1837-51, Cheshire Tithe Maps and Awards (Maps and Plans). SCH3266.
The Tithe map for Harthill, circa 1839 (source 1), depicts a building, trackway and surrounding fields, to the north of Salter's Lane. The accompanying apportionment records the following information: Plot 130, 'House, Garden & Croft', owned by Thomas Crallan and occupied by John Kirkham. The property is also depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1872-82 (source 2), but has disappeared by the OS Second Edition map of 1896-98 (source 3).
