Summary

Historic maps depict a small settlement called Woore Flash at this location. The hamlet comprised a number of small crofts, gardens and house located around the junction of Dingle Land and London Road. The farthings is the only surviving element of the hamlet.

Full Description

This map depicts a cluster of buildings and small plots adjacent to Dingle Land and London Road. Many of the plots are described as gardens or as adjoining homesteads. Those with buildings are described as homesteads or cottages.

A small number of the buildings are no longer extant and the area is labelled as Woore Flash.

Many of the plots have been amalgamated into the surrounding fields or combined together. The Farthings is the only surviving building from those depicted on the tithe map (see 1).
