Full Description
<1> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ9567 & SJ9668, 1871-1888 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.
This map depicts seventeen boundary stones which mark the undefined township and modern parish boundary between Sutton Downes and Wincle on Cessbank Common.

Modern maps indicate that ten of these boundary stones survive.

Six of the stones are listed at grade II. Typically they are dated 1849 and are inscribed S for Sutton and W for Wincle on opposing sides.
