A series of braided trackways and hollow ways are visible as earthwork banks and ditches centred at approximately SJ 9923 8318 on lidar imagery and remain extant on the latest 2011 aerial photography. The trackways appear to run in an approximately north-west to south-east direction for over 1400 metres, roughly parallel to the current lane. They may be directly associated with the coal workings (UID 1598441) located at their southern terminus (2-3).
