<1> L-P Archaeology, 2017, Archaeological Watching Brief Report: Huntington, Water Treatment Works, Chester, R4087 (Client Report). SCH8355.
A ditch was excavated to the west of Huntington Water Treatment Works in advance of development in 2017. The ditch measured 5m in length, 0.6m wide and 0.13m deep. The full length was not established. It had a single fill of a compact grey-orange, silty clay. A flint flake and fragment of ceramic building material were recovered from the fill. It was interpreted as an old hedgerow.
