A medieval and/or post medieval hollow way is visible as an earthwork on vertical photography and lidar imagery. The trackway remains extant on the latest 2010 aerial imagery, though the westernmost extent is obscured by tree cover. The hollow way runs for around 1500 metres on an approximate east-west orientation and has at least two points where branches lead off the main route. It is possible that the trackway was part of a network relating to the Pott Brickworks (CHER 2611/1) and connects with a quarry at its eastern terminus (see 2-4).
