Full Description

Farmhouse: dated 1770 with early nineteenth century porch, modernised 1981. Coursed, squared buff sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings with graded Kerridge stone-slate roof with two stone, gable chimneys. Double pile. two-storey, symmetric three-bay front. End-bay windows originally three-light tall, square-section, mullions replaced with twentieth century wooden casements. Rectangular doorcase with moulded square pilasters and springers with shaped lintel with projecting false Keystone surrounds twentieth century glass door. In front open wooden porch on plain wooden columns. Above door, date tablet reads HSA 1770 with two-light casement in first floor. Single-storey central projection to rear has fixed Venetian window with glazing bars in plain stone surround.
