Monument record 7999 - Site of Post Medieval Buildings to the South of the Moat at New Manor Farm

Please read our .

Summary

Two buildings are depicted immediately to the south of the moat at New Manor Farm on historic Ordnance Survey mapping. They are located in an area of woodland. One rectangular building is depicted on first edition mapping (1872-1882). This building, along with a second L-shaped building immediately to the west of the first, appear on the second edition mapping (1896-1898). However, on the third edition map (1909-1912), only the L-shaped building is depicted. A rectangular building is visible in this location on air photographs but this has disappeared by 1992/3. It is possible that below ground remains of these post medieval buildings survive.
