The Tithe Map (1842-5) for this area depicts a building close to, and possibly associated with, Basford Hall (219/1) to the north-east. The building is located within its own discrete plot of land, so may represent a homestead. The building is present on later OS historic mapping but is not visible on air photographs dating to the 1940s and later.
