Summary
Trial trenches excavated in 2017 on land off Volunteer Street in advance of development recorded a wall of red brick bonded with an off-white lime-based mortar; this had been cut by a concrete-walled tank structure, possibly a septic tank or cistern. Probable nineteenth century date.
