The remains of two buildings were excavated in 2017 in advance of development on land to the south of Daisy Bank Farm. One was an L-shaped building which may represent an outbuilding used for housing animals; the internal division into two stalls, and a possible drain, would support this interpretation. Alternatively, it could have been a wash-house/privy. The presence of a Staffordshire blue brick floor indicates a nineteenth century date. The second building was a timber-framed structure, probably an agricultural building such as a barn or storage shed, with outer brick wall foundations. Both structures correspond to the locations of buildings depicted on the Alsager Tithe Map of 1840 and later mapping.
