A sandstone block, metal-fronted milestone, is located on the north-west side of the railway bridge over London Road. It is present on both the 1st and 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps. The script on the stone is as follows: FROM LONDON, 171 MILES, FROM MACCLESFD, 4 MILES, TO STOCKPORT, 8 MILES.
