<1> L - P Archaeology, 2017, DoubleTree Hotel, Hoole Hall: Archaeological Mitigation Report, R4026 (Client Report). SCH8254.
The remains of four walls of an outbuilding, in the grounds of Hoole Hall, were excavated as part of a programme of archaeological mitigation in 2016 and 2017. The outbuilding is depicted on OS mapping dating to 1899, but not on that of 1871, indicating a construction date in the late nineteenth century. The artefactual evidence recovered confirmed this date.
